Supercharge your data dashboard with a Three.js globe

WebGL Globe is a well-known Google data experiment that lets users add their own data and create their own experience. It is open source.

Lagarsoft’s touch on WebGL Globe

We rewrote it from scratch in Three.js to visualize different populations across the globe. This project is a complete adaptation of the original WebGL Globe.

We chose Vercel because it makes it easy for our engineering team to deploy and run the user-facing parts of the app.

Three.js allows easy integration with other JavaScript libraries and frameworks, so you can build feature-rich apps without heavy overhead.

The main features we added to up the ante include data visualization, cohorts to see trends, zoom in and out, and more.

The product is designed to easily adapt to needs that may arise.

One of the main objectives when using globe data visualization is that you can easily identify markets and specific locations: perfect for real estate. With a 10-minute walk you can spot any business around, which categorizes and facilitates the understanding of the area.

It also steps up processes, since you can gather as much information as you need to make decisions in shorter periods of time.
