What LagarScan does.
LagarScan is an iOS application for capturing and reviewing scans of physical spaces using your device's camera and depth sensors. It is designed for architects, engineers, and field teams who need a quick, on-device way to document a site.
Scans stay on your device. Nothing is uploaded to a Lagarsoft server unless you explicitly export or share the file.

Device requirements.
- iOS 17 or newer.
- iPhone Pro (iPhone 12 Pro or later). LiDAR is required for room scanning.
- Sufficient free storage for the scans you intend to capture.
- Camera, Microphone, Speech Recognition, Location, and Photo Library permissions granted to LagarScan in iOS Settings. Location and Photo Library are optional.

Frequently asked.
The app cannot access my camera.
Open the iOS Settings app, scroll to LagarScan, and confirm the Camera toggle is on. If it is, toggle it off and on again, then relaunch the app.
My scans look blurry or incomplete.
Ensure the space is evenly lit, move at a slow, steady pace, and keep the lens unobstructed. For long sessions, plug in a charger to avoid thermal throttling that can degrade quality.
Where are my scans stored?
Locally, inside LagarScan's sandboxed storage on your device. You can export individual scans through the iOS share sheet to email, AirDrop, or your preferred cloud service.
How do I delete a scan?
Open the scan list, swipe the entry, and tap Delete. To remove every scan at once, uninstall the app or use iOS Settings > General > iPhone Storage > LagarScan > Offload App.
Does LagarScan upload my data?
No. The app does not transmit scans or personal information to Lagarsoft. See our Privacy Policy for full details.
How do I report a bug or request a feature?
