1. Who we are

Lagarsoft LLC is a software engineering company registered in the United States, with operating staff based in Uruguay. Our registered address is 680 S Cache Street, Suite 100, Jackson, WY 83001, United States. For any privacy question, write to hello@lagarsoft.com.

2. Scope

This Policy applies to:

• Visitors to lagarsoft.com and its subpages.
• Users of the LagarScan iOS application distributed via the Apple App Store.
• People who contact us through our website forms, email, or scheduled calls.

3. Information collected through the website

When you visit lagarsoft.com, we collect a limited set of analytics data through Google Analytics 4 (measurement ID G-WC45QZB2W9). This includes pseudonymous identifiers, page paths, referrer, approximate location derived from IP, device type, and language. We use this only to understand which content is useful and to improve the site.

If you contact us by email or book a call through the Google Calendar scheduler embedded on our Contact page, we receive the information you choose to provide (name, email, message, optional company). We use it to reply to you.

4. Information collected through the LagarScan app

LagarScan is designed to operate locally on your device. The app does not require you to create an account and does not transmit personal information to Lagarsoft servers.

The app uses the following iOS permissions. In every case, the data stays on your device.

• Camera and LiDAR: used to scan rooms and to attach photos to projects. Scans and photos are written only to the app's sandboxed container and are never transmitted off the device.
• Location (When In Use), optional: if you grant it, LagarScan tags each project with the latitude and longitude where the scan started so you can see your projects on a map. The coordinates are stored inside the project file and travel only in exports you share yourself.
• Microphone: used to dictate project notes. Audio is captured only while the dictation button is active and is handed straight to Apple's speech recognizer (see below). Lagarsoft never receives the audio.
• Speech Recognition: used to turn the dictated audio into text. iOS transcribes on-device when it supports your language; otherwise iOS may send the audio to Apple's speech servers. Lagarsoft never sees the audio or the transcript outside of your device.
• Photo Library (Add only): used only if you choose to save a project photo to your iOS Photos library. We never read photos from your library.
• Local file storage: scans and project files are stored in the app's sandboxed storage on your device.

LagarScan does not collect contacts, health data, or advertising identifiers. The app contains no third-party advertising SDKs and does no behavioral tracking.

Anonymous crash diagnostics may be collected by Apple if you have opted in to "Share With App Developers" in your iOS Privacy settings. These reports contain no personal information and are governed by Apple's own privacy terms.

5. Legal basis

For users in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, and other jurisdictions with comparable rules, the legal bases on which we rely are: legitimate interest (improving our website and answering inquiries) and consent (analytics cookies, optional iOS permissions). You may withdraw consent at any time.

6. Retention

Website analytics data is retained for up to 14 months. Email correspondence is retained for as long as needed to maintain the working relationship, then archived. LagarScan does not retain any data on our side; what stays on your device is yours to delete at any time by removing the file or uninstalling the app.

7. Sharing

We do not sell personal data. We share information only with:

• Service providers acting on our behalf (Google for analytics and calendar; Vercel for hosting), under their own privacy terms.
• Authorities, when required by law.

8. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, port, or restrict processing of your personal data, and to object to processing. Write to hello@lagarsoft.com and we will respond within 30 days.

9. Children

Our products are not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect data from them. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, contact us and we will delete it.

10. Security

We apply reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect information against loss, misuse, and unauthorized access. No method of transmission over the internet is fully secure; we cannot guarantee absolute security.

11. Changes to this policy

If we update this Policy, we will revise the "Last updated" date above. Material changes will be announced on this page.
